Hello
Just One, Brave Ones
It’s okay to rest
Especially when it feels like from the moment you wake up, someone needs something from you.
Before you’ve even had a chance to sit with your own thoughts, the day begins. A message. A request. A responsibility. You move from one need to the next, barely noticing how tired you are because there’s no space to notice.
And then the day ends the same way it began.
You finally lie down, hoping for quiet. Hoping for rest. And just as your body starts to settle, the phone rings. On the other side is a question that starts with, “Can you…”
When every part of the day is filled with giving, it’s easy to lose track of yourself.
Rest doesn’t mean you don’t care.It doesn’t mean you’re failing or falling behind.It means you’re human.
So many women are used to being needed that they forget they are allowed to need time too. Time to breathe. Time to be quiet. Time where nothing is being asked of them.
You are not meant to be available every moment of the day. You are not meant to pour endlessly without being refilled.
Even small pauses matter. A few minutes of silence. Turning the phone off for a while. Letting one request wait. These moments are not selfish—they are necessary.
If you’re in a season where everyone is pulling at you and you can’t seem to find time for yourself, let this be your reminder:
You are allowed to rest. You are allowed to step back. You are allowed to choose yourself, even for a moment.
At Just One Women’s Circle, we believe women deserve spaces where nothing is required of them—where they can simply be.
Because you don’t need to disappear to take care of yourself. You just need permission to pause.
